How much does a treatment cost?
We charge $95 per visit, or $65 surcharge for an ACC treatment. There is a $5 reduction for children, students or community services card. There will be a $10 surcharge for appointments with Andrew starting October 1st 2024.
How long does a treatment last?
Out treatments are 30 minutes, which is enough time for examination, treatment and advice. We can give longer treatments on request.
Do I need to get undressed?
We do like to be able to assess your posture and see your spine. Loose slacks or shorts and a singlet or strappy top can work. We can provide additional covering on request.
How many treatments will I need?
We usually like to have 2 appointments in the first week and then once a week. The average is 5 treatments, though complicated cases may need more.
Do you work with ACC?
Yes. We can work with ACC claims. We can process a new ACC claim. We can refer for x-Ray or ultrasound or on to a specialist with an ACC claim
What is the difference between osteopaths, chiropractors and physiotherapists?
Osteopaths give deep massage to the affected area with joint mobilisation and manipulation. They also advise on exercises and posture.
Chiropractors focus on manipulation.
Physiotherapists mostly advise on exercise rehab.
Osteopaths spend a bit more time and charge a bit more, but ACC stats show they require the least number of visits.
Do you just treat the spine or can you treat other injuries?
We treat all sorts of muscle and joint problems – especially shoulder and hips, but also elbows and wrists. knees and feet. We specialise in nerve pain, and we get particularly good results with headaches and migraines.
